It has been a game of plenty ups and downs, in which Italy have led by 3 points after the opening quarter and Slovenia turned it upside-down in the second quarter, taking a 1-point lead by the big break. Slovenia went on to increase their advantage to 10 points after 30 minutes of play, but Italy returned into the battle for the win in the final period, coming in front again, as the teams entered the last minute (85:83). However, it’s been Jakob Čebašek, who scored a 3-pointer for the lead of Slovenia again (85:86) and afterwards Italy did not score in their next possession. With 17 seconds to go, Slovenia had a 1-point lead and a ball possession. Italy did not manage to come back once again.
For Slovenia, Luka Dončić led the way in scoring with 29 points on his record, while Mike Tobey scored 12 points.
