Presenting 2023 ABA Super Cup teams: Partizan Mozzart Bet

The reigning AdmiralBet ABA League champions have the highest possible ambitions in the upcoming season. In all competitions.

The previous season was historic for Partizan Mozzart Bet for many reasons. For the start, they have managed to reclaim the regional throne after a decade, while they have also reached the Playoffs of the 2022/23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. And, along the way, the black-and-whites have set numerous records for the game attendance as their fans were filling Štark Arena week by week, all the way until the big AdmiralBet ABA League Finals in which Partizan Mozzart Bet claimed the trophy in front of 22,198 spectators.

Anyway, everyone will agree that Partizan Mozzart Bet had a very successful season, which is why the team management did not have any reasons to make some major changes in the team.

The most important thing for all the black-and-white family is that legendary coach Željko Obradović is still at the helm of the Belgrade giant. Obradović is about to start his 3rd consecutive season as Partizan Mozzart Bet head coach and he will have most of the last-season roster still in the team.

Recall that Partizan Mozzart Bet have made huge job over the summer by extending contracts with team captain Kevin Punter, then with James Nunnally, Zach LeDay, Aleksa Avramović and Balša Koprivica, while Alen Smailagić, Tristan Vukčević, Danilo Anđušić, Uroš Trifunović and youngsters Savo Drezgić and Đorđije Jovanović have all had valid contracts for the upcoming season and they will also be part of the black-and-white team.

The reigning AdmiralBet ABA League champions have so far acquired 4 new players. Ognjen Jaramaz has returned to Partizan Mozzart Bet after two years, while the other three newcomers who joined the team are Mateusz Ponitka (Panathinaikos), PJ Dozier (Sacramento Kings) and Frank Kaminsky (Houston Rockets).

Partizan Mozzart Bet have already showed during the preseason how good this new team is as the black-and-whites are still undefeated in their prep games. Therefore, they are coming to Podgorica to the 2023 ABA League Super Cup with just one ambition – to add another trophy to the club’s cupboard.
