Press conference ahead of the 2023 ABA Super Cup

The opening press conference ahead of the 2023 ABA Super Cup took place in Podgorica where the president of the host club, Budućnost VOLI, Mr. Dragan Bokan, and Sports Director of the ABA League J.TD., Mr. Milija Vojinović spoke to the media ahead of tomorrow's opening day.

"After a three-year pause due to the COVID-19 pandemic the ABA Super Cup is back, on behalf of us the organizing club, Budućnost VOLI, we warmheartedly welcome all clubs and their members, basketball fans, and all visitors to this event. We are really excited that we were in a position to organize the 2023 ABA Super Cup, with this opportunity I would like to thank the ABA League management and its co-owners who voted for Podgorica and Budućnost VOLI to be the hosts of this event. I hope that games are in good sportsmanship spirit, that we enjoy quality basketball, and that Podgorica and Montenegro send out a message of togetherness", said the president of Budućnost VOLI Mr. Dragan Bokan. 

"Thank you to our hosts Budućnost VOLI and the City of Podgorica for all their efforts in organizing the 2023 ABA Super Cup. The continuity of a project over the span of a few years shows that the project, in this case competition, was started on good roots and has a good foundation, the presence of the media here shows the popularity of the ABA League. We have been craving club basketball following the FIBA World Cup where teams from the region had good results. While we are in Montenegro I would like to congratulate them on a fantastic result at this year's World Cup, an interesting fact is that all members of their roster have passed through the ABA League. The ABA Super Cup is one of our four projects, we are a day away from the start of the tournament, and the organization has been terrific," said the Sports director of the ABA League J.T.D. Mr. Milija Vojinović.
