PRESEASON: Victories for Igokea m:tel and Krka

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet have faced Maccabi Playtika of Tel Aviv in their first game at the preseason tournament in Nicosia, Cyprus, and suffered a defeat in double-overtime thriller. The red and white have been in front by 7 points after the opening quarter, but Maccabi bounced back in the second, departing to the big break with a one-point advantage (44:43). In the second half, the game remained close and teams headed into double-overtime, since we did not get the winner after the first overtime as well. In the end, Maccabi prevailed 112:109. For Zvezda, Nemanja Nedović and Luka Mitrović have been the most efficient as both of them contributed 23 points this time.

Igokea m:tel have prevailed over BC Vienna at the Liburnia Cup in Opatija, after a major comeback in the second half. The Austrian side have led by 4 points after the opening quarter, and by 6 at halftime. However, Igokea m:tel have won the third quarter alone by no less than 22 points, turning game completely upside-down and being up by 16 points after 30 minutes of play. In the final quarter, they managed to calmly cruise towards the win in the end with the score of 80:66. For Igokea m:tel, Nikola Tanasković led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Stefan Moody had 16.

In the other semi-final game of the Liburnia Cup in Opatija, Krka have outgunned Cedevita Junior with the final score of 78:60, after the Novo mesto squad have dominated the court for the entire 40 minutes of the game. For the AdmiralBet ABA League newcomers, Jan Špan has been atop of the scorers list, as he had 16 points, while Miha Cerkvenik had 14.
