Presenting 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League teams: Borac Mozzart

Borac Mozzart are entering the new season with significantly different roster than a year ago.

The Čačak crew have managed to secure their AdmiralBet ABA League status in the final round of the previous season, while in the upcoming campaign they certainly hope to do so much earlier.

And, it will be quite interesting to watch this new red-and-white team as Borac Mozzart have made plenty of changes in their roster. But, let’s firstly say a couple of words about the people that stayed in Čačak for the 2023/24 campaign.

Dejan Mijatović is still the first team head coach. Mijatović has fulfilled the main club's goal last season by keeping Borac Mozzart in the first division and he is about to start his second consecutive year as head coach of the red-and-white troops.

Apart from head coach Mijatović, only 6 players from the last-season roster are still part of the team, including Bojan Tomašević, Nemanja Todorović, Uroš Čarapić and three youngsters Đorđe M. Ćurčić, Pavle Nikolić and Matija Milošević.

As you can see, Borac Mozzart has stayed without the top scorer of the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season Hunter Hale, but the club has acquired some interesting names that may bring lots of improvements to this new team.

This summer, Borac Mozzart signed contracts with former FMP Soccerbet player Nikola Manojlović, then with former Igokea m:tel guard Darko Talić and with former Partizan Mozzart Bet center Đoko Šalić. Also, the Čačak troops penned deal with Filip Rebrača (Univerity of Iowa Hawkeyes) and with four foreign players, including Ronaldo Segu (Psychiko), Tylan Jamon Birts (Tampereen Pyrinto), Kruz Perrott-Hunt (Auckland Tuatara) and Ja'von Franklin (Georgia Tech).

This new squad have showed some ups and downs during the preseason in which they had 4 wins, 4 defeats and 1 draw, but it seems that they are ready for the opening round of the new season in which they will host Cibona.
