FMP Soccerbet ink a 2-year contract with Hugo Besson

Just one day before they officially start the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League season, FMP Soccerbet have added another new player to their roster. The Panthers announced that they have signed a 2-year contract with 22-year-old French shooting guard Hugo Besson.

Besson started his pro career in Élan Chalon for which he played from 2018 to 2020. In the 2020/21 season, he went on a loan to Saint-Quentin BB and became the top scorer of the French second division LNB Pro B with 19.3 points per game.

After that, Besson went to New Zealand where he joined New Zealand Breakers for the 2021/22 season, His excellent performances in the NBL did not come unnoticed, so Besson was selected with the 58th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft by the Indiana Pacers. His draft rights were then immediately traded to the Milwaukee Bucks and he played for the Bucks in the 2022 NBA Summer League.

Hugo Besson then decided to return to his homeland and to sign contract with Metropolitans 92 for the 2022/23 season. Unfortunately, he missed four months of the last season due to a hip injury. He returned on court for the 2022/23 French Championship Finals in which his Metropolitans 92 were defeated by AS Monaco.

This summer, Besson once again played for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Summer League.

Hugo Besson might make his AdmiralBet ABA League debut already on Monday evening when FMP Soccerbet will host Krka in the opening round of the new season.

Beson novi bek KK FMP SoccerBet

Talentovani francuski bek Igo Beson novi je bek KK FMP SoccerBet. Beson (198cm, 22) potpisao je dvogodišnji ugovor sa Panterima i biće na raspolaganju treneru Nenadu Stefanoviću več za meč prvog kola ABA lige protiv Krke.

Beson je karijeru započeo u Šalonu za čiji je prvi tim zaigrao posle zapaženih partija u mladom timu. Bio je najbolji strelac druge lige francuske kada je samo sa 20 godina beležio u proseku 19.3 poena u dresu Sent-Kventina. Usledila je selidba na Novi Zeland gde je u dresu Brejkersa beležio sjajne partije i skrenuo pažnju na sebe čak i u NBA krugovima. Igo Beson je i draftovan kao 58. pik druge runde od strane Indiana Pejsersa. Sezonu 2022/2023 proveo je u dresu Metropolitana, a nažalost propustio je praktično četiri meseca sezone zbog povrede kuka. Vratio se za samo finale francuskog prvenstva gde je Evroligaš Monako ipak bio bolji.

Igo Beson je probao da izbori NBA ugovor kroz letnju ligu nastupajući za Milvoki Bakse, ali nije uspeo. Bio je kratko i član Baskonije, ali se nije nametnuo tokom leta za ugovor u redovima Evroligaša.
