2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League Round 4, Saturday, 21 October 2023:

KRKA – ZADAR

Where? Leon Štukelj Sports Hall, Novo mesto

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In Round 3 of the AdmiralBet ABA League Regular Season, Krka will be hosting Zadar at home in their Leon Štukelj Sports Hall in Novo mesto.

It is a clash of two squads, that only have one goal on their respective minds – to score a victory and anchor themselves in the middle of the AdmiralBet ABA League standings with a 2:2 record after 4 rounds played.

However, they are entering the match with different season stories. While Krka won their season opener and afterwards have been defeated twice, Zadar lost their opening two games and bounced back in the third. Therefore, the question is whether the streaks will continue or end this time in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall.

As far as tradition is concerned, it’s worth noting, that Krka have been the more successful squad in mutual encounters against Zadar – 18:10 in their favour in general and 9:5 when playing in Novo mesto.

However, each game is a brand new story and we should tune in on Saturday night to find out which of the two squads would be victorious this time around.

Match-up in focus: It will be fun to watch the head-to-head clash by Krka’s Leon Stergar and Zadar’s Luka Božić. While Stergar is currently the top scorer of Krka with 17 points, while adding 3 rebounds and 2 assists on average to his stats, Božić is right now the top scorer, rebounder and passer of Zadar, averaging 25.3 points, 8 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game. Who will prevail and take his team to the win?

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 18:10, In Novo mesto 9:5.
