Another derby win for the black & whites - Partizan Mozzart Bet beat Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in packed Štark Arena

Game recap: For the second time in just couple of days, the black-and-white part of Belgrade are celebrating the big derby win as Partizan Mozzart Bet have once again defeated Crvena zvezda Meridianbet.
After that thrilling win in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague last Thursday, this evening the black-and-whites defeated their arch rivals in AdmiralBet ABA League and became the first team in the season to beat the red-and-whites in the regional championship.
In front of more than 20,000 fans in Štark Arena, Partizan Mozzart Bet used a great performance in the 2nd quarter to gain a double-digit lead, while in the rest of the match the home side has successfully repelled all the attempts of the visiting side of making a comeback.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet only managed to reduce the gap to 6-7 points in several occasions in the 4th quarter, however when Zach LeDay scored a corner 3-pointer to put Partizan Mozzart Bet back on a double-digit lead – 94:84, with less than 2 minutes remaining on the game clock, it was clear that the home team would seize the win.
Partizan Mozzart Bet and Crvena zvezda Meridianbet are now all tied at the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League standings as both teams have the overall score of 4-1.
Key moments: The 2nd quarter changed everything in this match. Crvena zvezda Meridianbet were a better team in the opening 10 minutes and they had an 8-point lead after the first quarter – 25:17. However, then Partizan Mozzart Bet won the 2nd quarter by 30:11 to take over the lead and to take full control over the match.
Man of the match: Frank Kaminsky has played one of the best games since joining Partizan Mozzart Bet last summer. Kaminsky scored 22 points and grabbed 3 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 27.
Can’t trick the stats: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet made too many turnovers this evening. The visitors had 16 turnovers in this match, while on the other side Partizan Mozzart Bet had only 7.
