EC: Cedevita Olimpija defeated by Veolia Towers Hamburg
Cedevita Olimpija squad keeps waiting for their first win of the season in the BKT EuroCup. In the Round 8 of the European competition, the Dragons have faced Veolia Towers Hamburg in the clash of two still winless teams until this round and suffered a defeat with the final score of 83:86.

The squad, led from the bench by head coach Simone Pianigiani, is still waiting for its first win on the European courts, as they failed to convert the home court advantage into a win in the Round 8 of the BKT EuroCup even against Veolia Towers of Hamburg. At the end of the game, the score on the scoreboard in the Stožice Arena was 83:86 in favour of the visiting side.
After the opening quarter, the Dragons were up 22:19, but the Hamburg squad turned the game completely upside-down in the second quarter, and departed to the big break with a 7-point lead. In the second half, the hosts failed to perform a major comeback after being down by already 28 points and suffered a new BKT EuroCup defeat. For Cedevita Olimpija, Jaka Blažič led the way in scoring with 24 points on his record, while Klemen Prepelič added 23.
A day before, Budućnost VOLI suffered road defeat by ratipharm Ulm on the road in Germany with the final score of 84:67.
