Cibona get the important home win against Split

Game recap: Cibona got their fourth win of the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League season after beating rivals Split at home.

The first half was close throughout, Split opened the game with an 11:0 run but Cibona didn't let them run away with the lead there as they responded with their own 11:2 run. Cibona took over the lead in the second quarter but couldn't pull away more than 5, by the halftime break Split would manage to tie up the game at 41:41. 

In the second half, Cibona pulled away from Split with a 7:2 run in the final 3 minutes of the third quarter. In the final quarter, Cibona continued their tempo and ran away with the lead to secure their fourth win of the season. 

Key moments: It was a back-and-forth game in the third quarter, it wasn't until the final three minutes of the quarter that Cibona pulled away. The Wolves ended the quarter with a crucial 7:2 run, giving them a 7-point advantage heading into the final 10 minutes of the game. This gave Cibona momentum heading into the final quarter, in the opening minutes of the quarter Cibona managed to get a double-digit advantage and from that point on Split could not overcome the deficit.

Man of the match: Aleksandar Aranitović was the man for Cibona, he was their top scorer with 19 points to go along with 7 rebounds and a 24 valuation. 

Can't hide the stats: Cibona controlled the offensive glass tonight, they outrebounded Split on the offensive end 8:1 and were playing with an aggressive tempo throughout the whole game.
