Game recap: Mornar-Barsko zlato ended their losing streak as they beat Zadar at home court in Round 16 of the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season. 

The boys from Bar have therefore scored their 2^nd win in the season and they are now just a win away from 13^th placed Krka, though we have to mention that the Novo mesto crew have a game in hand.

On the other side, this defeat is definitely a big blow for Zadar in their race for the Playoffs, while that’s not all bad news for this team as their best player Luka Božić suffered an ankle injury and we are yet to see when he will be able to return on court.

Key moments: The two sides fought a hard battle for the entire game. Mornar-Barsko zlato have had the lead during most of the match, while it seems that they gained the key advantage in the 4^th quarter when they made the 7:0 run to increase the gap from 72:68 to 79:68.

Man of the match: Mornar-Barsko zlato big guy Uroš Luković was a dominant force on both ends of the court. Luković made a double-double performance with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 32.

On top of all that, Luković performed the play of the day when he made a stunning dunk right during that key 7:0 run of his team in the 4^th quarter.

Can’t trick the stats: It seems that Zadar was relying on their 3-point shot too much tonight as the visiting side had 45 attempts from behind the arc and scored just 12 three-pointers. In the history of the competition, only Radnički Kragujevac had more 3-point attempts in a single game than Zadar today as Radnički made 46 three-point attempts in the match against Szolnoki Olaj back in 2014.
