National Cups: SC Derby claim their first ever Montenegrin National Cup

SC Derby has claimed their first-ever Montenegrin National Cup after they defeated Budućnost VOLI in the final. 

It was a close game, but SC Derby controlled the lead for much of it. In the second quarter, SC Derby went on an important 11:2 run to give them a 3-point advantage which they would hold on to and take into the halftime break. SC Derby opened the final quarter with a big-time 13:1 run, forcing Budućnost VOLI to play catchup in the final quarter. Budućnost VOLI would manage to chip into the SC Derby lead and force overtime. It was an intense overtime period but Borna Kapusta in the final seconds drew a foul and hit both free throws to secure the win and the trophy. 

Mateo Drežnjak had a terrific game for SC Derby, he finished the night with 19 points and 2 rebounds. McKinley Wright IV was the top scorer for Budućnost VOLI with 19 points.
