National Cups: Zadar claim their ninth Croatian Krešimir Ćosić Cup trophy

For the ninth time in the club’s history Zadar have claimed the Croatian Krešimir Ćosić Cup trophy, as they have prevailed over Cibona in the Final on Saturday night.

Zadar are the 2024 Croatian National Cup winners. The Dalmatian squad grabbed their first trophy of the season, as they have edged out Cibona in the trophy game on Saturday night in Gripe Sports Hall in Split.

The Dalmatian side have been the better of two opponents all game long. They were up by a point after the first quarter, by 11 at halftime and still by 7 as the two sides have headed into the final quarter. In the latter, they have even increased their advantage and prevailed in the end with the final score of 68:80.

For Zadar, Luka Božić led the way in scoring with 27 points on his record. Arijan Lakić added 19 points.

On the way towards the Final, Zadar have beaten first Split in the Quarter-finals and afterwards Cedevita Junior in the Semi-finals.
