EuroBasket Qualifiers: Win for Slovenia

In Thursday’s clashes of the ABA League countries in the EuroBasket Qualifiers, Slovenia have prevailed over Ukraine, while Montenegro were defeated in Germany.

In their opening game of the EuroBasket Qualifiers, Slovenia have faced Ukraine in Bonifika Arena in Koper in Group A and celebrated a convincing win with the score of 87:73 after an excellent second half performance. For the 2017 EuroBasket champions, former Cedevita Olimpija player Klemen Prepelič scored 30 points this time, as the current Cedevita Olimpija captain Jaka Blažič has followed him with 18 points on his record.

In Group D, Montenegro travelled to Ludwigsburg to face Germany and suffered a painful defeat with the final score of 85:61 in a game, where the hosts have been dominating the court ever since the very beginning of the playing time. For Montenegro, former Cedevita Olimpija and Budućnost VOLI player Kendrick Perry scored 16 points, while former Mornar-Barsko zlato, Budućnost VOLI and Mega MIS player Nemanja Radović had 13 on his record.
