2023/24 Top Prospect: Nikola Topić
Nikola Topić of Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, who also used to play for Mega MIS this season, has been selected the 2023/24 AdmiralBet ABA League Top Prospect in the voting of the AdmiralBet ABA League coaches, journalists and the basketball fans. He won the contest ahead of Nikola Đurišić of Mega MIS and David Mirković of SC Derby.
It's official - young gun Nikola Topić of Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, who spent the first part of the Regular Season at Mega MIS is the best young player of the season in the AdmiralBet ABA League, as won this title in the voting contest of the head coaches of AdmiralBet ABA League teams, journalists and the AdmiralBet ABA League fans.
The excellent point guard of the Belgrade side has finished the voting with a total of 53.6% combined votes, ahead of Nikola Đurišić of Mega MIS, who had 14.6% and David Mirković of SC Derby, who finished the voting with 13.3% of combined votes.
Let's mention that Nikola Topić was the best in all three voting groups - head coaches of AdmiralBet ABA League teams, journalists, and the basketball fans, which makes his achievement even more impressive.
For Nikola Topić, the 2023/24 season has been the third in the AdmiralBet ABA League in his career so far, and the one in which he has made a total breakthrough. Playing for Mega MIS and Crvena zvezda Merdianbet, he has been averaging 17.9 points, 6.8 assists, 3.6 rebounds, 0.9 steals and a valuation of 19.5, presenting himself in the best possible light to the broader basketball public and announcing that he has an extremely bright future ahead of him.
In the traditional AdmiralBet ABA League voting for the Ideal Starting Five of the AdmiralBet ABA League season and the individual honours, the final results of the voting combines the votes of the head coaches of AdmiralBet ABA League teams (85% of the total voting results), the votes of fans (5% of the total voting results) and the votes of basketball journalists from the ABA League j.t.d. countries (10% of the total voting results).
