DJ Stewart stays in Ljubljana
The basketball fans in the region will be able to watch DJ Stewart play for Cedevita Olimpija for the forthcoming two seasons as well. The latter joined the club of Ljubljana ahead of the 2023/24 season.

American shooting guard DJ Stewart will continue to wear the jersey of Cedevita Olimpija senior squad. Stewart joined the Stožice side ahead of the 2023/24 sason, right after the end of the ABA Super Cup in Podgorica.
“I am happy to have extended my cooperation with Cedevita Olimpija. I’m not satisfied with the way the previous season went and now we have a chance to write a better chapter to our story next season,” DJ Stewart told as he extended his deal with the Dragons.
In the AdmiralBet ABA League, DJ Stewart appeared in 27 games last season, having averaged 25.6 minutes, 11.8 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
Ahead of coming to Ljubljana, Stewart used to play in the Dominican Republic, in the jersey of the team Marineros, and before that he spent his playing days at Sioux Falls Skyforce and Austin Spurs. Last summer he also played for the Washington Wizards in the NBA Summer League.

V članski zasedbi KK Cedevita Olimpija bomo v prihodnjih dveh sezonah lahko spremljali branilca DJ Stewarta. Slednji se je ljubljanskemu klubu pridružil pred začetkom tekmovalne sezone 2023/24.
V dresu članske ekipe Cedevite Olimpije ostaja DJ Stewart! Ameriški branilec je z ljubljanskim klubom podpisal dveletno pogodbo. Stewart se je zasedbi iz Stožic pridružil pred začetkom tekmovalne sezone 2023/24, neposredno po zaključku Superpokala Lige ABA v Podgorici.
"Zadovoljen sem s podaljšanjem pogodbe s Cedevito Olimpijo. Nisem srečen s potekom minule sezone, zdaj pa imamo priložnost, da v novi sezoni zgodbo obrnemo na boljše," je ob podaljšanju pogodbe s Cedevito Olimpijo povedal DJ Stewart.
V regionalni ligi je DJ Stewart zaigral na 27 tekmah, na parketu preživel 25,6 minut na tekmo, v tem času pa dosegal 11,8 točke, 2,6 skoka in 1,8 asistence na obračun.

Minulo poletje je v poletni Ligi NBA nosil tudi dres Washington Wizards.
