FIBA OQT: Croatia stronger than Slovenia, Montenegro defeated by Brazil
In the Round 1 of the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, Croatia have prevailed over Slovenia in the clash of two AdmiralBet ABA League countries in Greece. In Latvia, Montenegro have suffered a defeat by Brazil.

A clash of two AdmiralBet ABA League countries has been going on on Tuesday night in Peace and Friendship Stadium in Athens, as Slovenia took on Croatia and it has been Croatia that emerged victorious in this match-up, after being a better of the two sides throughout the game. Croatia were ahead by 15 points (16:31) already after the end of the first quarter and managed to calmly cruise towards the win in the end with the final score of 108:92. For the winning side, Goran Filipović scored 21 points, while Ivica Zubac added 18. On the other end, Luka Dončić had 26 points and Klemen Prepelič had 19 for Slovenia.
Montenegro have suffered a defeat in their first FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia. In a game, where Brazil emerged victorious, it has been Montenegro, that have pulled away by 8 points first, in the opening quarter. However, Brazil fought back and turned the game completely upside-down, prevailing in the end with the final score of 81:72. For Montenegro, Nikola Vučević scored 17 points and Marko Simonović 15.
