Another transfer alert in Dubai! The AdmiralBet ABA League newcomers announced that they signed a contract with 31-year-old forward Awudu Abass.

Another transfer alert in Dubai! The AdmiralBet ABA League newcomers announced that they signed a contract with 31-year-old forward Awudu Abass.
Abass has spent his entire pro career in Italy. He started in Cantu for which he played from 2010 to 2016, then he moved to Olimpia Milano where he spent the following two years, while after that he joined Brescia where he stayed from 2018 to 2020.
Finally, his last destination in Italy before moving to Dubai was Virtus Segafredo Bologna where he spent the previous 4 years.
Abass won the EuroCup title with Virtus Segafredo Bologna in 2022, while he also won two Italian championships during his career, one with Olimpia Milano in 2018 and one with Virtus Segafredo Bologna in 2021.
He played for the Italian National Team at the 2017 FIBA EuroBasket and at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.
Awudu Abass is the 5th new player in BC Dubai roster, after Nate Mason (Yukatel Merkezefendi), Nemanja Dangubić (Peristeri), Ahmet Düverioğlu (Bordumspor) and Leon Radošević (Derthona Basket).
