In memoriam: Ratomir Tvrdić (1943-2024)
The ABA League family is saddened to hear of passing of one of the basketball greats, former European and World Champion with Yugoslavia National Team and one of the greatest legends of Jugoplastika Split – Ratomir Tvrdić.

The ABA League family is saddened to hear of passing of one of the basketball greats and one of the greatest legends of Jugoplastika Split – Ratomir Tvrdić.
Tvrdić has passed away in his 80 years of age.
Ratomir Tvrdić spent his entire playing career, a total of 13 seasons, at Jugoplastika Split, today known as AdmiralBet ABA League member club Split, with which he won two Yugoslavian National Championship trophies, three Yugoslavian National Cups, as well as two FIBA Korać Cup trophies, and one FIBA Saporta Cup.
With Yugoslavia National Team he won one gold and two silver medals at the World Cups, as well as two gold medals and one silver medal at European championships.
The basketball fans throughout the region will forever remember his contribution to the development of regional basketball on its way towards the top of the World.
