Dubai have completed one of the biggest transfers this summer as they penned deal with 31-year-old Latvian international Davis Bertans!
Bertans has made his name right here in the AdmiralBet ABA League as he had some stunning performances while playing for Olimpija from 2010 to 2012 and then for Partizan from 2012 to 2014. He won the 2013 ABA League championship with the Belgrade giant.
After leaving Partizan Mozzart Bet in 2014, Bertans played two years for Baskonia, while in 2016 he went overseas to play in the NBA where he has remained until this summer.
During his 8-year stay in the NBA, the Latvian sharp-shooter has played for the San Antonio Spurs (2016-2019), Washington Wizards (2019-2022), Dallas Mavericks (2022/2023), Oklahoma City Thunder (2023/24) and for the Charlotte Hornets (2023/24). He has played a total number of 475 games in the NBA with career average of 7.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.
Bertans is now coming back to the AdmiralBet ABA League after a decade to join the very ambitious project of BC Dubai.
