Presenting 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Teams – Borac Mozzart

The Čačak side have changed almost the entire team over the summer, so it is difficult to tell at this moment what are the limits of this completely new squad.

The first thing you need to know about the 2024/25 Borac Mozzart is that the team is entering the new season with a new head coach at the helm. Dejan Mijatović has left the team, while the club appointed former Borac Mozzart player Saša Ocokoljić as new first team head coach. Ocokoljić has spent his entire coaching career in Romania, so this will be his first time to work in the AdmiralBet ABA League.

And now, let’s talk about the players. Borac Mozzart have kept only four players from the previous season. Team captain Uroš Čarapić will still lead the team on the court, Nikola Manojlović has also stayed among the red-and-whites, while the remaining two players are the youngster Pavle Nikolić and Petar Radović who are waiting for the opportunity to show their full potential in the upcoming season.

All the other members of the first team are the newcomers, yet some of them are very familiar with their new environment.

Let’s start with Čačak-born player Marko Jošilo, a former member of Igokea m:tel, Metalac, Bosna and Krka, who returned to his hometown to play for Borac Mozzart for the first time in his pro career.

Apart from Jošilo, one more Čačak-born player has returned to his hometown this summer. Đorđe M. Ćurčić spent the last year in the USA where he finished his final year of high school, while he now came back to Borac Mozzart with whom he signed his first pro contract.

Also, an experienced center Đorđe Gagić has returned to Čačak to start his second stint with the red-and-whites after already playing for this club in the 2022/23 season. Finally, there is one more player who came back to Borac Mozzart this summer and that is the American point guard Diante Baldwin who previously played in Čačak together with Gagić in the 2022/23 season.

Borac Mozzart have also signed contracts with former FMP Soccerbet players Marko Pavićević and Paulius Valinskas, while the two last pieces of their 2024/25 team puzzle are Keishawn Davidson and Justas Furmanavičius who will both play in the AdmiralBet ABA League for the first time in their careers.

As we have already stated at the beginning of this text, it is very hard to tell how far can this team go in the upcoming season. Borac Mozzart finished the last season at the 10th place on the standings and we are about to see whether this new team can surpass that score and perhaps join the Playoffs race.
