Krka reinforced by Marc Garcia
The 28-year old experienced Spanish player, guard Marc Garcia Antonell, will be wearing the Krka jersey in the forthcoming season.

“I have been talking a lot with Tayler Persons, with which we have been teammates in Poland last season. He told me all the best about Krka team, the coaching staff and the club. Therefore, my final decision was an easy one. I love to play basketball and I know, that AdmiralBet ABA League is a truly competitive league with excellent teams, so I am looking forward to the games and I am happy and motivated since I have become Krka member,” Marc Garcia Antonell shared his first thoughts after joining Krka.
Marc, the 198 cm tall and 1996-born player, started playing basketball at Manresa and his talent has quickly been noticed at Barcelona, a member of which he has been between 2012 and 2018. In the meantime, he has also been on a loan at Manresa and Real Betis. With Barcelona, he won the Spanish National Championship (2014) and Cup (2018). In the remainder of his career he used to play for San Pablo Burgos, Rio Breogan and Fuenlabrada, so he has plenty of experience with playing at the high level. He spent the last season in Poland, for MKS Dabrowa Gornica. By scoring 17.7 points per game, he used to be the top scorer of his team in the strong Polish National Championship, where he has been hitting three-pointers among other things with a 41% accuracy.
In the youth categories of the Spain National Team, he won the bronze medal at the U18 European Championship in Latvia in 2013 and three years later he won the U20 European Championship in Finland together with his Spanish teammates.

Krko okrepil Marc Garcia
V novi sezoni bo dres novomeške Krke nosil 28-letni izkušeni španski košarkar, branilec, Marc Garcia Antonell.
„Veliko sem se pogovarjal s Taylerjem Personsom, s katerim sva bila v lanski sezoni soigralca na Poljskem. O Košarkarskem klubu Krka, trenerskem štabu in ekipi mi je povedal mnogo dobrega. Zato je bila končna odločitev lahka. Rad igram košarko in vem, da je Liga ABA zelo tekmovalna liga z odličnimi ekipami, zato se veselim tekem in sem vessel in motiviran, ker sem postal član Krke, ki ima bogato zgodovino. Komaj čakam tekme pred domačimi navijači,“ je svoje prve vtise strnil Marc Garcia Antonell, ki je rojen leta 1996, visok pa je 198 centimetrov.
S košarko je Marc začel v Manresi, njegov talent so hitro opazili pri Barceloni, katere član je bil med letoma 2012 in 2018. Vmes je bil posojen v Manreso in Real Betis. Z Barcelono je osvojil špansko državno prvenstvo (2014) in pokal (2018). V nadaljevanju je bil še član španskih klubov San Pablo Burgos, Rio Breogan in Fuenlabrada, zato ima precej izkušenj z igranjem na visoki ravni. V minuli sezoni je igral na Poljskem za ekipo MKS Dabrowa Gornicza. S 17,7 točkami na tekmo je bil prvi strelec ekipe v močnem poljskem državnem prvenstvu, kjer je trojke zadeval z zavidljivo skoraj 41-odsotno natančnostjo.
V mlajših reprezentančnih selekcijah je s špansko mladinsko reprezentanco leta 2013 osvojil bron na evropskem prvenstvu v Latviji, tri leta kasneje pa je bil na Finskem s svojimi sovrstniki evropski prvak v kategoriji U20.
