PRESEASON: Wins for Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita Olimpija, Igokea m:tel and Split

In Saturday’s preseason games of the AdmiralBet ABA League clubs, Budućnost VOLI, Cedevita Olimpija, Igokea m:tel and Split have celebrated new victories, while Crvena zvezda Meridianbet and Zadar have been defeated this time around.

At home in Laktaši Sports Hall, Igokea m:tel have prevailed comfortably over Borac WWIN with the final score of 81:54. It has been Borac WWIN that has started the game in a better fashion, leading by 7 points (14:21) after the opening quarter and by 5 at halftime (39:44). However, Igosi fought back in the second half, having turned the game completely upside-down in the third quarter, which they have won by 19 points (25:4) and afterwards calmly cruised towards the win in the end with the final score of 81:54. For Igokea m:tel, it has been Terrell Carter, that topped the list of scorers with 19 points, while Ognjen Radošić, Sacar Anim and Strahinja Gavrilović each had 10 points on their records.

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet finished fourth at the VTB Super Cup, as they have been defeated by Zenit of St.Petersburg on Saturday night with the final score of 83:70. The Russian squad have turned the flow of the game their way in the second half, after Zvezda were in command at halftime with a 6-point advantage (39:33). In the end, Zenit prevailed comfortably, as Codi Miller-McIntyre scored 20 points for Crvena zvezda Meridianbet and Isaiah Canaan 10.

Cedevita Olimpija has met with Pallacanestro Trieste in Bonifika Arena in Koper in their last preseason encounter and thanks to the excellent second half performance after a tied first half (35:35), they celebrated a big win in the end with a score of 89:67. For Cedevita Olimpija Devin Robinson topped the list of scorers, as he had 15 points. Brynton Lemar added 11.

Budućnost VOLI are the winners of the 2024 Široki Brijeg Preseason Tournament, as they have prevailed over Zadar in an encounter of two AdmiralBet ABA League squads. It has been a game, in which Budućnost VOLI pulled away decisively in the second quarter, which they have won with the score of 31:6, pulling away by 29 points by halftime. In the second half, they managed to calmly cruise towards the win in the end with the final score of 79:63. For the winning side, Juwan Morgan and Yogi Ferrell scored 12 points each, while for Zadar, Amar Gegić had 22 points on his record, and Marko Ramljak had 11.

Split finished the Široki Brijeg Tournament in the 3rd place, as they have prevailed over the home side with the final score of 78:73 in a tight game, which they turned in their favour in the final period. Barret Benson was the most efficient in terms of scoring, as he scored 16 points for Split, with Tonko Vuko following him with 14.

Dubai Faced U-BT Cluj-Napoca in Sarajevo and after a disappointing second-half performance, in which the Romanian side managed to turn the game completely upside-down, they suffered a defeat with the final score of 76:89. For Dubai, Awudu Abass led the way in scoring with 18 points on his record. JaCorey Williams added 12.
