The squad from Bar finished the previous regional league campaign at the 13th place, with just one win more than last placed Krka. Obviously, Mornar-Barsko zlato now wants to reach much higher positions in order to avoid the relegation battle.
Therefore, the club has decided to create a completely new squad for the 2024/25 season, with only one exception. Club legend Mihajlo Pavićević will still be the head coach and will therefore continue his 3rd stint with his hometown team that started back in 2017.
All the players that are part of the 2024/25 roster are the newcomers.
Yet, among them are couple of well-known players to the regional league fans. Mornar-Barsko zlato penned contracts with former Split player Lovre Runjić, then with former FMP Soccerbet, Borac Mozzart and Split point guard Ilija Đoković, then with former Cedevita, Široki, Borac WWIN and Kansai Helios center Lovre Buljević and finally with former Sloboda Užice player Aleksa Ćubić.
The other four players who arrived in Mornar-Barsko zlato this summer are the foreigners - Branden Jenkins, Jaden Bediako, Travis Evee and Jamari Smith.
Also the club has promoted several players from their youth selections into the first team and some of those youngsters will definitely get minutes on court in the upcoming season.
Due to the fact that this is a completely new squad, it is very hard to tell what to expect from Mornar-Barsko zlato in the 2024/25 campaign. But, this team have always found a way to impress, so do not be surprised if Mornar-Barsko zlato score some sensational wins against the regional giants in the upcoming season.
