Presenting the 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League teams – Partizan Mozzart Bet
The black-and-whites are going for the throne with a completely different squad than in the last season.
Partizan Mozzart Bet lost the regional throne last season when they were defeated by their arch rivals Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in the 2024 AdmiralBet ABA League Finals. That defeat obviously persuaded everyone in the club that many changes are required in order to regain the regional title, so the Belgrade giant used this summer to make a complete reconstruction of their roster.
Yet, before we start talking about all the new players, let’s say the most important thing about the 2024/25 black-and-white team. And that is the name of its head coach. Legendary Željko Obradović has remained the head coach of Partizan Mozzart Bet and he will continue the journey with his beloved club.
Obradović will have just 1 player from the last-season team in the 2024/25 roster and that is Balša Koprivica. All the others are the newcomers.
A total number of 15 players have arrived to Partizan Mozzart Bet this summer and when you hear their names you will realize that the Belgrade giant has really made sure to once again form an extremely strong squad.
Let’s start with the new captain Vanja Marinković who has returned to his childhood club after spending 6 years in Spain. Marinković has previously played for Partizan Mozzart Bet from 2014 to 2018, while he will now lead this new project of the black-and-whites.
Partizan Mozzart Bet have signed three more well-known faces from this region, including former Zadar player Arijan Lakić, former Igokea m:tel member Mario Nakić and a member of the Serbian national team Aleksej Pokuševski who’s been playing in the NBA in the last couple of seasons.
Then, there are some foreign players with a decent basketball CV who have come to Partizan Mozzart Bet this summer.
The 2023 World Cup champion with Germany Isaac Bonga; One of the best centers of the last-season EuroLeague campaign Brandon Davies; South Sudanese scoring machine Carlik Jones; Former NBA players Sterling Brown, Frank Ntilikina and Duane Washington; Two players with EuroLeague experience Iffe Lundberg and Tyrique Jones.
The final pieces of the 2024/25 team puzzle are Isiaha Mike who will miss the start of the season due to injury and two youngsters Mitar Bošnjaković and Aleksa Dimitrijević.
Partizan Mozzart Bet have definitely created a very powerful roster for the upcoming season and the best proof is that they are currently the only undefeated AdmiralBet ABA League team in the preseason.
And when the new Admiralbet ABA League season starts, they will have just one goal – to get back to the throne and become the first team to win 8 regional championships.
