Presenting 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Teams – Zadar
Zadar must get used to the life without their MVP Luka Božić.

The most valuable player in the league has left Zadar this summer. After dominating the region for the past couple of seasons, Luka Božić has decided to continue his career abroad and his departure has definitely left a huge hole in the Zadar roster.
The white-and-blue crew now have to get used to the life without their MVP. It won’t be easy, that is clear to everyone, but with officially the best coach of the league for the 2023/24 season Danijel Jusup still at the helm, Zadar can definitely find a way to still be successful.
Zadar have made some major changes in their roster over the summer as only 4 players from the last-season squad remained in the team. Yet, 3 of those 4 were part of Zadar’s starting lineup. Karlo Žganec, Lovro Mazalin, Marko Ramljak, as well as young Krševan Klarica will still be wearing the white-and-blue jersey and they should be the ones to lead this new project.
The rest of the 2024/25 roster is composed of the newcomers and some talented players who were promoted into the first team this summer.
Let's start with the newcomers. Maybe the biggest signing Zadar has made this summer was brining in former Cibona star player Amar Gegić. Gegić has already showed that he will be a huge addition to this new Zadar roster as he was the best player of the team during the preseason.
Zadar have also penned contracts with former Split guard Mate Kalajžić, then with former Cibona center Domagoj Proleta and with the American forward Tyler Wahl, while Dominik Gilbert has returned to the club after playing abroad for the past three years.
Finally, Zadar’s last summer transfer was a pretty big one as just a couple of days ago they announced the arrival of former Mornar-Barsko zlato and Budućnost VOLI scoring machine Vladimir Mihailović who is still holding the 2nd best league’s record for the most points scored in a single game by one player.
On top of these signings, Zadar have also decided to give a chance to some of the academy players as they registered youngsters Manuel Dundović, Toni Josipović, Marat Kos, Andro Mirčeta and Toni Torbarina for the new season.
Zadar will definitely look different now when they do not have Luka Božić in their roster anymore, but maybe these new players can make the team even better than a year ago when the Dalmatians seized the 6th place on the standings.
