Story of the game: Sunday evening in Novo mesto is reserved for basketball as Krka are about to host Mega MIS in the opening round of the 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League season.

Krka finished the last season at the last place and their one and only goal ahead of the 2024/25 campaign is to improve their position on the standings. Therefore, the club appointed young and talented head coach Dejan Jakara to lead this new project and everyone in the club hope that the “Jakara era” will start with the win.

Speaking about “young and talented”, one of the most talented teams in the entire Europe is coming to Novo mesto for the opening round of the new season. Mega MIS have once again formed a team full of rising stars and be quite sure that at least one of them will fully shine in the upcoming season.

Mega MIS have won the last two away games in Novo mesto, yet looking at the all-time score Krka have more wins than Mega MIS in their head-to-head matches played in Leon Štukelj Sports Hall – 5:4.

Match-up in focus: Jan Špan has remained in Krka and he will definitely be the leader of this team in the 2024/25 season. Last season, Špan averaged 12.7 points and 6.8 assists per game.

On the other side, Mega MIS are putting a lot of hopes in their new point guard Mihajlo Petrović who had some impressive displays during the preseason. The 21-year-old already has the experience of playing in the AdmiralBet ABA League as he played for Borac Mozzart in the 2022/23 season.
