EC: Cedevita Olimpija triumphant in Cluj-Napoca, defeat for Budućnost VOLI

Cedevita Olimpija have started their 2024/25 season in a victorious fashion, as they have prevailed over U-BT Cluj-Napoca in a close game on the road in Romania. It has been truly a game, that could have gone either way all until the end, but Brynton Lemar and DeVante’ Jones have scored two key consecutive three-pointers to give their team a 5-point lead with 13 seconds to go. In the end, the score was 93:86 in favour of Cedevita Olimpija, for which Devin Robinson scored 20 points, while Brynton Lemar added 18.

Budućnost VOLI, on the other hand, suffered a road defeat on the road in Istanbul against Besiktas. The Podgorica squad have been down by 6 points after the opening quarter, by 10 at halftime and 16 after 3 quarters, when it has started to become clear, that the chances of a comeback were slim. In the end, the Turkish squad prevailed with the final score of 94:76. For Budućnost VOLI, Devin Robinson scored 20 points and Brynton Lemar added 18.
