Story of the game: Zadar will try to break their 6-game losing streak against Budućnost VOLI in their Saturday's clash in the Krešimir Ćosić Arena.
Zadar can’t be happy with their results over the past two weeks. After they scored a big win against Cibona on the opening weekend of the new season, the white-and-blue troops then suffered two consecutive defeats, firstly against Igokea m:tel at home, while then they lost the away match against SC Derby.
That last-round defeat against SC Derby was especially painful for Zadar team as it came with a 24-point margin – 62:86. Zadar were not losing games with such a huge margin in the previous season and therefore the boys coached by Danijel Jusup are now determined to improve their image in front of their loyal fans and get back on the winning track.
On the other side, Budućnost VOLI made a perfect start in the new season as they have won all the previous 3 games and they are one out of three teams in the league with the perfect score after the opening 3 rounds. On top of that, the Podgorica troops have additionally boosted the team morale with the win against Dolomiti Energia Trento in the BKT EuroCup that they achieved over the past week, so the last year’s semifinalists are coming to Zadar in high spirits, ready to continue their impressive winning streak at the start of the season.
Match-up in focus: Each side has some very good all-around players in their rosters, while it will be especially interesting to watch the duel between Marko Ramljak (Zadar) and Rasheed Sulaimon (Budućnost VOLI).
