Split become the first team to beat Mega MIS in the 2024/25 season
Split have scored their 2nd win of the season as they beat Mega MIS at home court in Round 5 of the 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.

Game recap: Split have scored their 2nd win of the season as they beat Mega MIS at home court in Round 5 of the 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season.
The famous Yellow club had an extremely difficult schedule at the start of the new season, yet they have so far managed to score two huge home court wins. Split have firstly defeated the reigning champions Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, while this Saturday evening they outplayed the last season’s semifinalists Mega MIS.
Split have had the lead throughout the whole game, while their tonight’s hero was team captain Shannon Shorter who recorded 22 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists for the overall index rating of 33. Also, we have to mention a couple of other members of the yellow team as David Škara (19 pts, 9 rebounds), Antonio Jordano (14 pts, 4 three pointers) and Borna Kapusta (12 pts) have all made an outstanding performance this evening.
On the other side, Bogoljub Marković played a fantastic game for Mega MIS as he finished the match with 18 points and 17 rebounds, however not even those amazing numbers were enough to save the Pink troops from suffering their very first defeat in the ongoing season.
Key moments: Mega MIS have managed to reduce the gap to 8 points – 79:71, with 4 minutes left on the game clock, but then Split made the key 6:0 run that put them back at a safe distance – 85:71
Man of the match: We have already mention him in this text. Shannon Shorter was simply brilliant today. He was by far the best player of Split in today’s game, while even though he suffered a minor ankle injury at the start of the 2nd half, he managed to return on court later in the game and to help his team stay in front until the end.
Can’t trick the stats: Mega MIS made 13 turnovers this evening, while on the other side Split made just 3 turnovers for the entire game! The home team have reduced their mistakes to a minimum and they seized a well-deserved win.
