EuroBasket Qualifiers: Huge win for Montenegro
Montenegro have made a major step toward the 2025 EuroBasket as they defeated Bulgaria at home in Round 3 of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers. Meanwhile, Slovenia disappointed their fans as they suffered road defeat against Portugal.

Montenegro have made a major step toward the 2025 EuroBasket as they defeated Bulgaria at home by 85:62 in Round 3 of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers.
Montenegro was a dominant force throughout the whole match, while the 23-point margin at the end might be as valuable as the win itself, as head-to-head scores may be very important in this group.
Montenegro and Sweden are currently sharing the top of the table in Group D. with the overall score of 2-1, while Bulgaria and Germany are right behind with the overall score of 1-2.
Meanwhile, Slovenia suffered their first defeat in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers as they lost the away game against Portugal – 74:82.
Slovenia had an awful first half as they were trailing by 25 points already by halftime. They did improve their game significantly in the 2nd half, however that was still not enough for making a sensational comeback.
Slovenia and Portugal are now all tied at the top of Group A with the overall score of 2-1. Israel have the overall score of 1-1, while Ukraine are at 0-2 at the moment.
