Mega MIS prevail over Zadar in a thrilling ending

Game recap: Mega MIS have ended their 5-game losing streak as they triumphed against Zadar on the road – 68:65.
The Pink troops triumphed in a thrilling ending in which they survived an open 3-point shot that Zadar’s star player Amar Gegić missed in the last moments of the game, at the score 67:65.
Mega MIS have therefore improved their season score to 5-5, while Zadar dropped to 4-6.
Key moments: Zadar entered the 4th quarter with a 5-point lead – 56:51, but the home team then did not score a single point in the opening 6 minutes of the final game period.
On the other side, Mega MIS also had serious problems in their offense as the visiting side did not score any points in the opening 4 minutes of the last quarter, but then Kosta Kondić stepped up for the Belgrade side.
Kondić scored 5 consecutive points in just 20 seconds to tie the score – 56:56.
The big battle continued and the two sides eventually entered the final minute of the match all tied – 65:65, while then Bogoljub Marković scored a huge 2-pointer to put Mega MIS back in front – 67:65.
After that, Zadar forward Amar Gegić made a turnover on one side of the court, while on the other Mega MIS point guard Mihailo Petrović missed a 3-pointer, so Zadar got one last chance to win the match.
The ball ended up in the hands of Amar Gegić who was wide open behind the arc, just 2 seconds before the end of the game… However, his 3-point shot did not make it through the basket.
In the remaining time, Mega MIS sealed their win from the free-throw line – 68:65.
Man of the match: Kosta Kondić once again stepped up for Mega MIS in critical moments as he scored 8 key points for his team in the 4th quarter. Kondić finished the match with 14 points.
Can’t trick the stats: Zadar missed too many 3-pointers tonight, especially in the 4th quarter. The home team were 0/10 from behind the arc in the last 10 minutes of the game.
