Luka Šamanić returns to AdmiralBet ABA League, as he signed with Cibona
Cibona has renforced its ranks with a new player ahead of the key challenges in the AdmiralBet ABA League. Former Croatia National Team member and former NBA player Luka Šamanić has reinforced the Wolf Pack and will continue his career in the Dražen Petrović Arena.

Luka Šamanić, a 208 cm tall power forward, has returned to his hometown to help Cibona ahead of the forthcoming key games in the AdmiralBet ABA League. His arrival to Zagreb is considered to be a huge reinforcement for the team.
Šamanić used to play for San Antonio Spurs and Utah Jazz in the NBA, while in Europe, he used to play for Fenerbahce, Petrol Olimpija and Barcelona B squad.
Well-known for his versatility on court, Šamanić combines athletic skills, his size and great shooting abilities. He can cover several positions in the frontcourt and his qualities will be crucial in the forthcoming games.
“Luka is coming for us in the right moment, as there are important games ahead of us. He is a polyvalent player of great talent and fantastic motoric abilities. He can cover positions 3, 4 and 5 and plays excellent when turned with his face towards the basket. He also has excellent 3-point-shooting abilities. I am convinced that he will significantly help us in the coming period,” head coach Bariša Krasić told.

Cibona dobila novog igrača u rosteru uoči ključnih izazova u Admiralbet ABA ligi. U redove Vukova stigao je Luka Šamanić, bivši NBA igrač i reprezentativac Hrvatske, koji karijeru nastavlja u Draženovom domu.
Luka Šamanić, 24-godišnji krilni centar visok 208 cm, vratio se u svoj rodni grad kako bi pomogao Ciboni uoči ključnih izazova u AdmiralBet ABA Ligi. Njegov dolazak u Zagreb je značajno pojačanje za zagrebačku momčad.
Šamanić je tijekom svoje karijere nastupao za San Antonio Spurse i Utah Jazz u NBA ligi, dok je u Europi nosio dres Fenerbahçea, Petrol Olimpije te Barcelonine B momčadi, gdje je napravio prve seniorske korake. Njegovo bogato iskustvo s različitih razina natjecanja donosi dodatnu vrijednost i predstavlja veliko pojačanje za tim iz Draženovog doma.
Poznat po svojoj svestranosti na terenu, Šamanić kombinira atletske sposobnosti, visinu i odličan šut. Može igrati na više pozicija u visokoj liniji, a njegove kvalitete bit će ključne u nadolazećim utakmicama.
"Luka nam dolazi u pravom trenutku, pred važne utakmice koje nas očekuju. Radi se o polivalentnom igraču velikog talenta i iznimnih motoričkih sposobnosti. Može igrati na pozicijama 3, 4 i 5, sjajno se snalazi i licem i leđima prema košu, a ima i vrlo dobar šut za tri poena. Siguran sam da će nam značajno pomoći u narednom razdoblju," izjavio je trener Bariša Krasić.
