EC: Budućnost VOLI score huge road win against ratiopharm Ulm
Budućnost VOLI have made a huge step toward the knock-out stage of the 2024/25 BKT EuroCup season as they defeated ratiopharm Ulm on the road. Meanwhile, Cedevita Olimpija suffered road defeat against JL Bourg.

Budućnost VOLI have made a huge step toward the knock-out stage of the 2024/25 BKT EuroCup season as they defeated ratiopharm Ulm on the road.
Their tonight's hero was Rasheed Sulaimon who scored 27 points, while he made 4 key points in the final minute of the game that helped Budućnost VOLI prevail over their opponents.
Budućnost VOLI played a great 1st half in which they gained a 15-point lead – 56:41, however in the 2nd half ratiopharm Ulm started dominating the court and the German side have managed to take over the lead – 82:79, with just 1 minute remaining on the game clock.
But, that is when Budućnost VOLI made their game-winning 6:0 run. McKinley Wright IV firstly scored 2 free throws to reduce the gap to 1 point – 82:81, while then Rasheed Sulaimon made an and-1 lay-up that put the Podgorica team back in front – 84:82. Finally, after the visiting side defended their basket, Sulaimon was sent to free throw line once again and this time he scored 1 out of 2 free throws to make the final score – 85:82.
Budućnost VOLI have therefore remained at the 6th place in Group A, which is the last spot that guarantees qualification to the next stage. Budućnost VOLI have the same overall score (8-8) as 7th placed Wolves, with two rounds left to be played in the regular season.
Meanwhile, Cedevita Olimpija suffered road defeat against JL Bourg.
After a close 1st half in which the French side gained a 2-point lead – 38:36, JL Bourg then won the 3rd quarter by 30:17 that brought them a big lead ahead of the final 10 minutes of the game – 68:53.
Cedevita Olimpija did manage to score 29 points in the 4th quarter, however that was not enough for making a late comeback and JL Bourg triumphed by 87:82.
Cedevita Olimpija now have the overall score of 10-6 and they are still holding the 2nd place in Group B.
