2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Round 19, Saturday, 1 February 2025:

SPLIT – CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA

Where? Split Sports Hall, Split

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Round 19, Split will be hosting Cedevita Olimpija at home in their Split Sports Hall.

It’s a game of two teams that have been in completely different shapes lately, but both of which seem to have Playoffs ambitions ahead of them. While Split have recently lost 4 games in a row and are right now on a record of 6:12, Cedevita Olimpija have on the contrary prevailed 4 times in a row over the past few rounds and are currently on an 11:7 record after 18 rounds.

So while Split need to start winning soon again in order to keep their chances of finishing in the Top 8 realistic, Cedevita Olimpija need to do so, in order to additionally anchor themselves within the Playoffs Zone and to keep hoping for the home court advantage in the Quarter-finals.

The first time that the two sides met this season things could not have gotten more dramatic and it was Devin Robinson’s game-winner, that handed a hard-fought triumph to the Dragons in the Tivoli Sports Hall.

Split will be looking for revenge therefore, but it will not be an easy task, as they have only prevailed once so far over Cedevita Olimpija in the entire AdmiralBet ABA League history, in 9 encounters between the two squads played so far.

Match-up in focus: Perhaps the most exciting match-up of the game is the one between the two prolific American guards – Shannon Shorter and Brynton Lemar. While Shorter has been the second-leading scorer and passer for Split, while coming first in rebounding, averaging 15.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game, Brynton Lemar is currently the second-leading scorer for Cedevita Olimpija, averaging 14 points per game. Who will lead his team to the win this time?

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 1:8; in Split 1:3.
