2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League Quarterfinals Round 1, Sunday, 11 May 2025:

BUDUĆNOST VOLI - MEGA SUPERBET

Where? Morača Sports Hall, Podgorica

When? 21:00

Story of the game: The 2025 AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs are set to ignite as Budućnost VOLI, the top-seeded team of the regular season, welcomes Mega Superbet in Game 1 of this best-of-three quarter-final series.

The Podgorica powerhouse secured 1st place for just the second time in club history, and now eyes the championship as a realistic goal. Backed by the passionate Morača crowd and loaded with talent, Budućnost VOLI comes into the Playoffs brimming with confidence and purpose.

However, history offers a note of caution. In 2016, Budućnost VOLI also entered the Playoffs as the top seed and fell to none other than Mega Superbet – the same underdog team that now returns to challenge them once again. That year, Mega stunned the regional scene by sweeping the series 2-0.

Mega Superbet might be the youngest team in the competition, but they’ve shown serious character by winning 5 of their last 6 games to secure the 8th spot. With nothing to lose and momentum on their side, the pink-and-blue squad is eager to write another surprise chapter.

Match-up in focus: McKinley Wright IV (Budućnost VOLI) vs. Mihailo Petrović (Mega Superbet).

This duel between two electric point guards could very well shape the outcome of the series.

McKinley Wright IV, recently crowned the official MVP of the 2024/25 AdmiralBet ABA League regular season, has been a consistent leader and game-changer for Budućnost VOLI. He has delivered standout performances in all the big games this year, combining court vision, pace, and scoring ability to devastating effect.

Facing him is Mihailo Petrović, Mega Superbet’s rising star and the man many now call the Clutch King. Petrović delivered big-time plays in nearly every game of Mega’s late-season surge, knocking down game-winners and energizing his squad with his fearless approach.

Head-to-head score in the regional league: In total 21:7; In Podgorica 13:1.
