Justin Turner Joins SC Derby as First New Signing for the 2025–26 Season

SC Derby has announced the signing of American guard Justin Turner, making him the first addition to the Podgorica-based squad ahead of the upcoming ABA League season.

Turner, a 27-year-old combo guard standing at 193 cm, arrives from the Polish side Anwil Włocławek, where he impressed last season with his dynamic offensive skillset and athleticism. 

Turner’s basketball journey began at Renaissance High School in Detroit before he spent five collegiate seasons with the Bowling Green Falcons in the NCAA, where he built a reputation as a prolific scorer and leader. Following college, he played in the NBA G League with the Motor City Cruise (Detroit Pistons affiliate) and Grand Rapids Gold (Denver Nuggets affiliate), gaining valuable professional experience before making the leap to Europe.

His European career started in Spain’s LEB Oro with Club Ourense Baloncesto, and he continued to develop as a scoring threat and playmaker in Poland’s top flight with Anwil. Now, Turner is set to bring his aggressive style of play to the ABA League.
