Jacob Stephens is the new Split Player

Jacob Stephens (25, 213 cm) will cover the center position for the “Yellows” in the new season. The American from Bunker Hill (West Virginia) wore the jersey of Spanish side Obradoiro and FMP last season, and this year he will play for Split wearing number 33.

“Thank you for the warm welcome. I’ve already been to Split, and my first impression was amazement. I liked the passion of the fans in that game against Split. I know about the magnificent history of the club, as well as the city. I remember telling my family back then that one day I wanted to play in Croatia, and I’m happy that I will represent Split on the court. My only expectations are to work hard and improve my game. We want to win every game we play, and we will work hard to achieve that,” said Stephens.

Jacob Stephens (25, 213 cm) u novoj sezoni pokrivat će poziciju centra u dresu "Žutih". Amerikanac iz Bunker Hilla (Zapadna Virginia) u prošloj sezoni nosio je dres španjolskog Obradoira i FMP-a, a u ovoj će igrati u dresu Splita s brojem 33.

“Hvala na toploj dobrodošlici. Već sam bio u Splitu i moj prvi dojam bio je oduševljenje. Svidjela mi se strast navijača u toj utakmici protiv Splita. Znam o veličanstvenoj povijesti kluba, ali i grada. Sjećam se da sam tada rekao svojoj obitelji da jednog dana želim igrati u Hrvatskoj i sretan sam što ću predstavljati Split na terenu. Moja očekivanja su samo da naporno radim i poboljšam svoju igru. Želimo pobijediti u svakoj utakmici koju igramo i naporno ćemo raditi da to ostvarimo,” kazao je Stephens.
