Serbia continued their strong start at the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket by defeating Portugal 80:69 in the second round of the first stage. With this victory, the Serbian squad kept their perfect record intact at 2-0.
Nikola Jokić once again proved decisive, leading the team with 23 points, while Nikola Jović added 18 points. However, the triumph was not without concern, as Bogdan Bogdanović suffered an injury during the game. The severity of the issue is still unknown and remains a worry for coach Svetislav Pešić’s squad.
On the other hand, Montenegro’s struggles continued. The team suffered their second straight loss, falling to Lithuania 67:94. Despite Nikola Vučević’s 20 points, the Montenegrins are still searching for their first victory at the tournament.
