Everything is set for the new ABA League season
Everything is ready for the start of the new ABA League season, which tips off on October 3. This was the conclusion of the ABA League Assembly session, held online today.

It was noted with great satisfaction that, for the first time since the founding of the regional basketball competition, financial profit in the amount of €100,000 has been distributed to the 12 shareholder clubs of the league. The financial stability established within the ABA League, which according to all announcements will continue to grow in the future, will contribute to the further development of the competition as well as basketball throughout the entire region.
In the jubilee 25th season of the ABA League, fans and basketball enthusiasts can expect numerous novelties. The AdmiralBet ABA League will be played in a new format with a total of 18 clubs divided into two groups, and the new competition system will also be applied in the ABA League 2.
As part of the preparations for both competitions, the Assembly also noted that a very successful seminar for referees was held in Banja Luka, while a seminar for statisticians will be organized at the beginning of next week.
Another novelty is that starting this season, Precision Time technology will be implemented at all AdmiralBet ABA League games, further contributing to the fairness of the competition.
It was also noted at the Assembly that the hosts of the group stage of the U19 ABA League Championship will be Laktaši and Vienna, and that unlike previous years, when the Final Four was played at the end, this time a final tournament with eight participating teams will be organized.
