2025/26 AdmiralBet ABA League Teams: Ilirija - Ready for Historic Debut

Ilirija are preparing for their first ever season in the AdmiralBet ABA League, after achieving a historic success last year by winning promotion to the top tier. For the Ljubljana-based club, this achievement represents the biggest milestone in their modern history.

Continuity on the Bench

The club will once again be led by head coach Stipe Modrić, who guided Ilirija to that unforgettable promotion run last season. His leadership and continuity are seen as key to building stability as Ilirija enter their debut ABA campaign.

Guard Rotation: Core Intact, New Addition

Ilirija have kept the backbone of their backcourt unit, bringing stability and chemistry into the new season. Guards Gašper Škorjanc, Tim Tomažič, Lovro Strnad, Luka Kureš, and youngsters Mark Padjen and Bine Gabrijel all remain in the squad. The club also strengthened this department with the signing of Wendell Green, adding extra firepower and creativity at the guard positions.

Frontcourt Reinforcements

In the frontcourt, Ilirija were very active on the transfer market. The team signed experienced Slovenian national team forward Edo Murić, who brings leadership and top-level experience. Alongside him, Robert Jurković, a familiar face from Krka, and Tristan Vukotić have also joined the club. From last season’s roster, Bine Prepelič stays on board to provide continuity in the paint.
