Dubai Basketball Beat Barcelona to Complete a Perfect EuroLeague Week

Dubai Basketball continue to make history in their debut EuroLeague season! After stunning the reigning European champions Fenerbahçe Beko on the road earlier this week, the squad coached by Jurica Golemac have now added another giant to their list - defeating FC Barcelona in front of home fans in Coca-Cola Arena.

The opening two quarters were as close as it gets. Both teams traded leads, with Barcelona entering halftime slightly ahead by 1 point. But what followed was a masterclass from the home side. Fueled by the energy of their fans and the momentum from Istanbul, Dubai Basketball erupted in the second half, scoring an impressive 50 points to take full control of the game and secure a statement victory.

Filip Petrušev and Dwayne Bacon were the offensive engines behind Dubai’s triumph. Petrušev showcased his all-around game, posting 23 points and 8 rebounds, while Bacon added 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists, constantly breaking down Barcelona’s defense. 

With back-to-back wins over EuroLeague powerhouses Fenerbahçe and Barcelona, Dubai Basketball have officially completed a perfect EuroLeague week. The team’s record now stands at 3-2, marking a very good start for a debutant club.
