Dubai Basketball have confirmed that French center Mam Jaiteh will remain with the team through the 2027–28 season, following an agreement to extend his contract by one additional year. The move comes as Jaiteh continues his recovery from an Achilles injury that ruled him out for the current campaign.

Initially signed in the summer of 2025 on a two-year deal, Jaiteh was expected to play a central role for the new project in Dubai. However, after suffering the injury early in the season, the club chose to act swiftly to secure his future. By extending his contract, Dubai Basketball sent a clear message of faith in both the player and their long-term vision.

Extensions of this nature are rare in professional basketball, particularly when a player faces a long rehabilitation period. Dubai Basketball’s decision stands out as a show of loyalty and confidence, underlining the organization’s emphasis on stability, trust, and respect for its athletes.

The 29-year-old big man is progressing with his rehabilitation program and is expected to make his return to the court during the 2026–27 season.

For Dubai Basketball, the extension represents more than just a personnel decision—it highlights the club’s growing reputation for professionalism and integrity, and serves as another example of the classy approach that has come to define its philosophy.
