The continued stay of Donatas Motiejunas represents a major reinforcement for Crvena zvezda Meridianbet, because from the very first day he arrived, through his behavior on the court and off it, the leadership he displayed in difficult moments, as well as his exemplary work habits - even at the age of 36 - he has proven to be a true asset to the team in every sense.

The performance and impact of Donatas Motiejunas since joining Crvena zvezda from Monaco cannot be measured only through statistics, but through the overall impression he leaves as a person, as a basketball player with a great career, and through his desire to help Crvena zvezda Meridianbet in every practice and every game in achieving its goals.

Donatas Motiejunas arrived in Belgrade at the beginning of October 2025, and already in his first game against Fenerbahçe - after having only one team practice - he showed what he can bring to our team, and has continued doing so throughout October and November in many big and difficult games for the red-and-whites.

The experienced center is 214 cm tall and weighs 117 kilograms, yet throughout his entire career he has been known for his exceptional shooting ability for his height and his mobility.

Donatas has had an outstanding career so far. He began in Zalgiris, continued in Benetton, and from 2011 spent eight full seasons in the NBA playing for Houston, New Orleans, and San Antonio. Since 2021 he has been a member of Monaco, with whom he won two French League titles, one cup, and played in the EuroLeague final.

Centar crveno-belih Donatas Motiejunas ostaje u Klubu do kraja sezone.

Na sastanku koji je održan u utorak između predsednika KK Crvena zvezda Meridianbet Željka Drčelića i litvanskog centra, postignut je dogovor na obostrano zadovoljstvo da Donatas nastavi da nosi naš crveno-beli dres!

Ostanak Donatasa Motiejunasa predstavlja veliko pojačanje za KK Crvena zvezda, jer je od prvog dana dolaska u naš klub, svojim ponašanjem na terenu, van njega, liderstvom koje je pokazao u teškim trenucima, kao i radnim navikama koje su za primer i u njegovoj 36. godini, pokazao da je pravo pojačanje za naš tim - u svakom smislu.

Učinak i uticaj Donatasa Moteijunasa od trenutka dolaska u Crvenu zvezdu iz Monaka ne može da se gleda samo kroz brojke, već celokupnim utiskom koji ostavlja kao čovek, košarkaš sa velikom karijerom i kroz želju da pomogne Crvenoj zvezdi na svakom treningu i svakoj utakmici, da ostvari svoje ciljeve.

Donatas Motiejunas stigao je u naš klub početkom oktobra 2025. godine i već na prvoj utakmici sa Fenerbahčeom sa jednim timskim treningom pokazao je šta može da donese našem timu i KK Crvena zvezda i to je nastavio da radi tokom oktobra i novembra na brojnim velikim i teškim utakmicama crveno-belih.

Iskusni centar je visok 214 cm i težak 117 kilograma, ali ga tokom cele karijere odlikuje izvanredan šut za tu visinu i mobilnost.

Donatas je do sada imao izvanrednu karijeru koju je počeo u Žalgirisu, nastavio u Benetonu, a onda od 2011. godine punih 8 sezona nastupao je u NBA ligi za Hjuston, Nju Orlians, San Antonio. Od 2021. godine član je Monaka sa kojim je osvojio dve titule prvaka Francuske, jedan kup i igrao finale Evrolige.
