Story of the game: In the opening game of the AdmiralBet ABA League Round 16, Zadar will be hosting Cedevita Olimpija at home in their Krešimir Ćosić Arena in Zadar.
It will be a game of two teams that are currently in completely different positions in the Group B standings, but also two, that haven’t been shining lately in the regional competition. While Zadar are entering the game after a streak of four losses, Cedevita Olimpija have recently lost 2 games in a row and have also won 2 out of their last 5 games played.
The recent setbacks have pushed the Dragons of Ljubljana downwards from the first place in the Group B, where they are currently occupying the second place with a 10:4 record, but still, Cedevita Olimpija have already secured themselves a spot in the Top 8 stage of the competition. On the other side, Zadar are currently on a 4:10 record, without any chances left for finding themselves in the Top 8. However, every win counts for the second stage of the competition in their quest to qualify for the Play-in.
