EC: Cedevita Olimpija Show Nerves of Steel in Tight EuroCup Win Over U-BT Cluj-Napoca

Cedevita Olimpija edged U-BT Cluj-Napoca at home, 86:80, in today’s BKT EuroCup game, and in another AdmiralBet ABA League clash under European lights.

The hosts opened the night in strong fashion, setting the tone early and building a double-digit advantage already after the opening quarter. However, U-BT Cluj-Napoca showed resilience straight away, responding with a solid run that trimmed the deficit to just three points by halftime. The visitors continued to apply pressure after the break and managed to close the gap even further, entering the final period trailing by only a single point.

The fourth quarter turned into a tight, possession-by-possession battle, but Cedevita Olimpija showed greater composure when it mattered most. In the decisive stretch, the Dragons lifted their level of focus and execution, turning a narrow 74:71 edge into an 80:73 cushion that proved enough to keep their rivals at arm’s length until the final buzzer.
