Budućnost VOLI suffered a road defeat in today’s BKT EuroCup game, as they were beaten by Besiktas Istanbul 96:74 in Istanbul.

The Podgorica side never truly found their rhythm against the Group B leaders, and the tone of the game was set very early. Besiktas imposed their tempo from the opening tip, dominating both ends of the floor and racing to a 27:11 lead after the first quarter, leaving Budućnost VOLI already 16 points behind.

The visitors showed some response in the second period, managing to slightly slow down the hosts and trim the deficit. Budućnost VOLI won that stretch by four points, heading into halftime trailing 49:37, still within theoretical reach but clearly facing an uphill battle.

Any remaining hopes were dashed in the third quarter, which proved to be the decisive phase of the game. Besiktas once again stepped on the gas, winning the period 27:17 to open up a commanding 22-point advantage, effectively putting the contest out of reach. From that moment on, the hosts controlled the pace comfortably and cruised toward a comfortable victory.

Despite the setback, Budućnost VOLI now stand at an overall record of 9-6 and currently share fourth place in Group B of the 2025/26 BKT EuroCup regular season.
