Story of the game: In the opening game of the Top 8 stage of the AdmiralBet ABA League season, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will be hosting Igokea m:tel at home in Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade.

The season is heating up and crucial games are coming up for the teams that have finished amongst the top 4 teams of their respective groups. Crvena zvezda Meridianbet will be hosting Igokea m:tel in the first game of the Top 8 stage and every game now matters in the battle for the Playoffs.

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet are entering the Top 8 in the fourth place with a 12:4 record, while on the other side, Igokea m:tel are entering the battle from the 8th spot, with an 8:8 record.

The red and white are of course, as always, aiming at the top positions in the standings and to do so, they need to go on the winning streak, after they returned to the winning track last round. On the other side, Igokea m:tel will be looking to escape the last two places in the standings in order to escape the Play-in zone and to do so, they will need to be winning on regular basis in the Top 8 stage.

Lately, the Belgrade powerhouse have been in a fairly better form in the AdmiralBet ABA League than Igokea m:tel, winning 4 out of their last 5 games, while Igosi only won once over the span of their last five games.

Who will prevail this time?

Match-up in focus: Perhaps the key match-up of the game in Belgrade can be the one between Chima Moneke and Strahinja Gavrilović. While Moneke has been the second-leading scorer and rebounder of Zvezda in the Regular Season, averaging 12.4 points and 4.9 rebounds per game, Gavrilović has been the second-leading scorer and rebounder of Igokea m:tel, with an average of 14.9 points and 4.3 rebounds per game.

Head-to-head score in ABA: In total 25:8; In Belgrade 14:3.
