EL: Partizan Outlast Valencia in 2OT Classic, Zvezda Stopped in Overtime in Barcelona

Two Belgrade powerhouses were at the center of EuroLeague thrillers on Friday night, as Partizan Mozzart Bet outlasted Valencia Basket in a double-overtime classic, while Crvena zvezda Meridianbet came up short on the road against FC Barcelona after overtime.
Partizan Mozzart Bet extended their winning streak to five games in the EuroLeague with a spectacular 110:104 victory over Valencia Basket in Belgrade.
The black-and-whites had to dig deep on multiple occasions to secure the win. In the closing moments of the fourth quarter, Dylan Osetkowski knocked down a game-tying two-pointer to force overtime, while Partizan’s defense held firm as Brancou Badio missed a potential game-winning three at the buzzer.
A similar script unfolded in the first overtime. Once again chasing the result, Partizan found their answer through Carlik Jones, who drained a clutch three-pointer with 19 seconds remaining to level the score. On the defensive end, the hosts forced Omari Moore into a difficult long-range attempt, which went unanswered.
In the second overtime, it was Sterling Brown who took over the spotlight, scoring 9 crucial points to push Partizan across the finish line and seal a memorable victory.
With this result, Partizan Mozzart Bet improved to 14-20, climbing to the 14th place in the standings.
Over in Spain, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet fought until the end but ultimately suffered a narrow 92:88 overtime defeat against FC Barcelona.
The red-and-whites missed several key shots n the 4th quarter, but still they showed resilience to force overtime and keep their hopes alive.
However, the visitors struggled from beyond the arc in the extra period, missing several important three-point attempts. Barcelona capitalized on those missed chances in the closing moments to edge ahead and secure the win in a tightly contested finish.
Despite the loss, Crvena zvezda Meridianbet remain in the playoff race, currently sitting in 9th place with a 19-15 record.
