Conclusion of a Remote Meeting Between ABA League j.t.d. Presidency, ABA League j.t.d. Management and Dubai Basketball
At the joint meeting of the Presidency of the ABA League j.t.d., the ABA League management, and Dubai Basketball, held via Zoom on Monday, May 18, 2026, a decision was made that Dubai Basketball will play its home games in the AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs Semifinals in Zenica.
After constructive discussions and additional consideration of all aspects related to organizing the games, the decision for Dubai Basketball to play its Semifinal matches on neutral ground was made in the common interest of all participants and of the competition itself.
The first game of the semifinal series between Dubai Basketball and Budućnost VOLI will be played on Thursday, May 21, 2026, starting at 6:00 PM, while the second game is scheduled in Podgorica on May 25, 2026, at 7:00 PM. The date and time of a potential third game will be decided later.
It was also decided that, in the coming period, the entire situation in the United Arab Emirates and the region will continue to be evaluated, with the shared goal and desire that, should Dubai Basketball qualify for the Finals, it would host its Finals games at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. This matter will be discussed in detail at future meetings, taking into account all relevant factors.
Dubai Basketball expressed great gratitude to the ABA League, the members of the Presidency, and the management for their constructive proposals and firm determination to find the best solution in everyone’s interest. Dubai Basketball also confirmed that the arena in Zenica offers top-class conditions and meets the highest standards, and stated that it will do everything on its part to be the best possible host and ensure that the semifinal series proceeds in the best possible manner, to the delight of all basketball fans.
